Plusieurs belles choses sont arrivés dernièrement à mon film DIMANCHE.

Premièrement, le film a remporté une mention spéciale pour le meilleur court métrage (durée de 5 à 25 minutes) à la 35e édition du Festival international du film d'animation CINANIMA au Portugal (Espinho). Le jury, sous la présidence de Pedro Proença, était composée de professionnels du milieu (Jiri Barta, Matthias Bruhn, Nicole Salomon et Vivien Halas). Palmarès complet disponible ici.

Le même week-end, le film gagnait un second prix, soit le ASIFA-Colorado Award pour le meilleur film d'animation. Remis lors de la 34e édition du Denver Film Festival, le prix est attribué par le regroupement du Colorado de l'Association Internationale du film d'animation. Vous pouvez voir la liste des films gagnants ici.

Finalement, j'ai appris que DIMANCHE était l'un des 45 films qualifiés pour l'Oscar 2012 du Meilleur court métrage d'animation. Beaucoup de très bons films sur cette liste et c'est un réel honneur d'en faire partie. on se croise les doigts et on espère se rendre jusqu'à la "short list" :)

Many great things happened lately to my film SUNDAY.

First, it won a Special Mention for Best Short Film (duration between 5 & 25 minutes) at CINANIMA International Animated film Festival in Portugal (Espinho). The jury, under presidency of Pedro Proença, was composed by professionals of animation (Jiri Barta, Matthias Bruhn, Nicole Salomon and Vivien Halas). Complet list of award winners available here.

The same week-end, the film won ASIFA-Colorado Award for Best Animated Short during 34th edition of The Starz Denver Film Festival. The prize is given out by the Colorado chapter of the International Animated Film Association. You can consult the list of award winners here.

Finally, I heard that SUNDAY is one of 45 films qualified for the next Academy Award for best Animated Short. A lot of great films on this list and it's an honour to be part of it. Fingers crossed to make the "short list" :)
